Incubator Series: Fat Folx

FAT FOLX: For large bodies, public transit is personal hell as administered by other people in confined spaces going from place to place. So much of life is spent taking as little room as possible so as to provide as little inconvenience to other (thinner) bodies. To exist in a fat body is to be told that you cannot exist in relationship to other humans as you are. Part theatrical event, oral history, and documentary, we aim to dispel this narrative. Fat Folx is an exploration of how we move: through space, through life.

For this project, we are partnering with The Martin Chicago on a rehearsal and workshopping process that will begin May 2019 and take us through to January 2020. We are looking to raise $5,000 towards rehearsal space, workshop presentation space, and artist fees. With every $1, your donation will be matched by an Investor. Please consider supporting this project today.
